I usually go to a place called Valley School for birdwatching. One day, I saw a red-whiskered bulbul eating peppers from a pepper plant. After it saw us it flew away to another branch where another red-whiskered bulbul joined it.
This medium-sized bird is brown above and white below. It has a long black crest and brown necklace-like strip on its underparts. It has a bright red patch on its ear which earns it its name. It also has a red undertail.
It is usually found in gardens, orchards, forest edges and open forests
The part of the bird which is red is called "whiskers". It is a very distinct feature to identify it.
